Suprised by the emotions

Every year on Adrienne's Birthday I am wistful of the past we share. But today it has caught me off guard how emotional I am. I am reading comments from others who share memories of my little girl with me and I cry, I cried while writing my earlier post on here. I don't fully understand all the emotions I am having although I would love to live all the moments, even the hard ones over again. It is so wonderful getting to be her mama and I can't wait to continue to see her grow up and become a little woman.
I know people always say they grow up fast and we all who have children of our own know this first hand, but wow it is like a bolt of lightning. I love the time we shared when it was just Adrienne and I and how at the time life didn't seem simple, but now looking back after adding two more children to the family I realize it was a very special time just the two of us. I know she feels the same way, as she has shared this with me during cuddle time.
So to my baby girl, you won't understand how much mommy loves you until you one day have your own little girl. But it is the most powerful feeling in the world! I love you!~ Mommy
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ADRIENNE!
My little girl is 10 years old today. The journey had been full of emotions as she has grown up so fast, there were times I was sad, sad to drop her off at daycare her first day to go back to work, I cried the first two weeks missing her so badly. There were times I was so proud of her, as she learned new things. There were times I was exasperated as I taught her right from wrong. There were times my heart was singing as she did wonderful things like picking up trash at the local park all on her own. I can't believe 10 years ago today at 10:23pm I held her for the first time, in awe of how beautiful she is. The feeling of becoming a mother is a amazing one that you never forget, that moment in time had never faded.

We had a Birthday party with her friends last weekend. It was a blast!

For her cake she chose strawberry with strawberry frosting.

We decorated the night before, she had lots of fun helping me.

Opening her gifts, she got some really fun things including a
MP3 player & fun rug for her room that now has hard wood flooring.

I almost for got to do the candles and Birthday song lol, but remembered in the nick of time lol.

Addie ready to blow out candles, I was too slow and missed the shot of her blowing them out. : (

The girls had a blast playing truth or dare spin the bottle, it was so fun to watch them play. I did feel a little sorry for the girl who was dared to lick my kitchen floor and actually did it. lol

As Addie slept last night I hung streamers from her doorway for something fun for her for her Birthday. She really liked them and never wants them down lol.

There is nothing better than a beautiful day outdoors when the weather is so beautiful.

I love this picture of Rylin swinging. She reminds me of myself having to have her doll with her. She calls swinging WEE HIGH lol, it is so cute!
Photobucket
Lane loves to swing his little sister.
Photobucket
I love this picture, how she is so relaxed swinging with her little feet crossed.
Photobucket
This is a Baltic Amber anklet I got Rylin. It has natural pain relief and anti inflammatory properties but I got it because it is so dang cute!
Photobucket
Lane loves playing in the sand box or even in just a pile of dirt. He could stay busy for hours. He looks lost in thought in this picture.

Adrienne, this picture was taken a week or so ago, but she was at school while I was taking pictures of the kids today. I didn't want to leave her out. She loves to pose for the camera!

First days...

I am a stay at home mom to 3 children (10yrs, 3yrs, and 21months) living in small town central Iowa. I love gardening, sewing, baking, scrapbooking and playing with my little ones outside. I am hoping this will be a great way to keep friends and family up to date on our lives. We try to live as natural of a life style as possible. It is fun and great for the earth, it also is a great way to teach my children how to live a simple life. Hope you enjoy reading and getting to know everyone in my family a little better.
